How does your pool lose heat?

While the sun is trying to heat your pool, the wind sets up convection currents that steal the same heat at an alarming rate.

Every square centimetre of your pool's surface gives up heat to the wind by evaporation. The stronger the wind, the greater the heat loss.

Evaporation alone accounts for 60% of the heat loss from your pool. Another 30% of the loss radiates into the air from the water surface and 10% goes into the ground.

1-WINTER DEBRIS COVERS

Swimming pool covers should form an essential part of the pool winterisation process. Designed to keep the pool clear of leaves and other debris, but allow rain water through, they will also reduce the risk of frost damage. Almost any shape and size of pool can be accommodated, - the standard design allows a 0.3m (1') overlap all around the pool. All winter covers are made from top quality UV stabilised Polyethylene fabric, stainless steel spring fixings are used for fixing the cover.

Before you enquire about a winter cover please measure the width and length of your pool carefully to ensure a good fit, this will enable us to price it straight away. All covers are supplied 2' larger then the actual pool width and length therefore a 10' x 20' pool would have a cover made to 12' x 22'.

Pool covers save water, reduce chemical consumption and make it easier to maintain your pool. Solar covers have the added benefits of heating your pool too.

How does a Solar Pool Cover work?

A cost effective and convenient way to save water and heat your pool at the same time, Solar blankets are made from a film containing thousands of tiny bubbles, which work together to collect and retain heat in your pool. The blanket floats on top of the water (bubble side down) and allows solar energy to pass through - trapping and retaining the heat in your pool.

Why you need a Roller System for your Pool Blanket?

Almost all pools benefit for using a pool Blanket Roller system to wind up and store a pool blanket because, roller systems extend the life of your pool blanket, make the blanket use far easier and the blanket can be operated by one person with ease.
